Celtic welcome inner-city rivals Rangers to the other side of Glasgow this afternoon in the latest edition of the Old Firm derby.

Brendan Rodgers' men are currently three points clear of the Gers at the top of the table and would all but seal the SPFL title with a win here.

A victory would put the Hoops six points ahead, with two games remaining and a goal difference at least seven better than the Gers.

After the 3-3 draw at Ibrox earlier this year, Rangers were in pole position to claim the SPFL title due to their game in hand, but they've somewhat collapsed in recent weeks and must win this match.

Philippe Clement has made a huge impact on the blue half of Glasgow since his arrival, but he will not want to hand the crown to Rodgers and co at Celtic Park.

Celtic vs Rangers: Contrasting form

Rangers looked all set to be beaten by Celtic on their own patch for the second time this season until Rabbi Matondo popped up with a late equaliser to salvage a 3-3 draw.

That result left Rangers one point behind Celtic with a game in hand.

But since that match, the Gers have dropped points to Dundee FC and Ross County, throwing away their advantage.

Meanwhile, Celtic have won every league game to establish a lead over their bitter rivals.

And the fact they can all but win the title at home against Rangers means the atmosphere should be electric.

Celtic vs Rangers: What has been said?

Hoops boss Rodgers has sent a warning to Rangers ahead of the Old Firm.

He said: "When I look at the injuries and disruptions we've had this season, last weekend was about there in terms of availability, fitness and where the team is at.

"It's as good a place as we've been all season. When we will arrive into this weekend's game, this will be the best version of the team since I've been here.

"The crowd in the Hearts game was brilliant for us. The emotion rolls down from the stands and you see what it gives the players and how they respond to that.

"We will need the same at the weekend and I know we will get it. The supporters are liking what they see in the team. It should be a great occasion and I’m really looking forward to it."
