Nottingham Forest loan star keen on permanent transfer this summer

Speaking to Nottinghamshire Live, midfielder Jack Colback has said that he would be happy to join loan club Nottingham Forest on a permanent basis in the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest’s loaned in midfielder Jack Colback has said that he is keen to make a permanent move to the Championship side at the end of the season.

The midfielder joined Forest on loan during the summer transfer window, coming in under former manager Aitor Karanka. Since his arrival, he has made a good impression on fans  – who will be happy to hear Colback’s latest words.

In an interview with Nottinghamshire Live, Colback revealed that he has accepted that his Newcastle career is almost certain to come to an end. With that being said, he has said that he is hoping that his next permanent club can be Nottingham Forest.

“I have had a lot of people ask me that and it is a tough one to answer,” Colback said when asked about his immediate future.

“If you ask me if I would like to come back and sign permanently, the answer is yes. It is not as easy as that in football. Forest themselves have to commit to a permanent deal. Then you have to work out that deal.

“It is not as straightforward as a yes or no. But I have enjoyed my time here and, if the opportunity arose, it is one I would view positively, with good thought. I know the club because I have been there a little while. I know the players, I have enjoyed my time here and my family are happy, so let’s see what happens.”
