talkSPORT betting tips – Best darts bets and expert advice for Premier League Night 8

Night 8 of the Premier League takes the eight premier PDC performers up north for a trip to Newcastle’s Utilita Arena.
The city will be on a high following Newcastle’s success over Liverpool in the EFL Cup final earlier this month and there is bound to be a frenetic atmosphere on the banks of the Tyne.
Tips:
- Gerwyn Price to win Night 8 @ 9/1
- Chris Dobey to beat Luke Humphries @ 2/1
- Nathan Aspinall to beat Michael van Gerwen @ 6/4

Bet 1 - Gerwyn Price to win Night 8 @ 9/1
Gerwyn Price was beaten 6-5 by Rob Cross in a thrilling quarter-final clash in Cardiff last Thursday, but the Iceman can gain revenge on his way to success in Newcastle.
The duo face off at the last-eight stage at the Utilita Arena and there are a number of reasons to think Price can turn the tables.
The Iceman averaged 97.10 to Cross’ 89.40 last week and it was only an incredible 170 checkout which sealed the deal for Voltage.
Since that defeat, Price has gone on to make the quarter-finals of the European Darts Trophy, but the Welshman was value for more than that European Tour tournament yielded.
The Markham man averaged 103.74, 110.83 and 107.40 in his three Gottingen matches and that is title-winning form.
Price may have to find a way past Luke Littler in the Newcastle semi-finals, but he has won both of his two previous matches against the Nuke in this season’s Premier League and, at 9/1, there is enough in the price to punt the Iceman for Night 8 success.
Bet 2 - Chris Dobey to beat Luke Humphries @ 2/1
Chris Dobey is yet to produce his best in the Premier League, but the north east arrowsmith will have a home Newcastle crowd on side and that may see Hollywood play a starring role.
The former Masters champion, who has already picked up a Players Championship crown this season, averaged 101.73 in his only contest in last week’s European Darts Trophy and that suggests the a-game is still in place.
Luke Humphries is certainly the more reliable performer, but Cool Hand has been struggling for form in recent weeks and the Newbury arrowsmith failed to deal with the crowd when losing to Nathan Aspinall in Germany last week.
At 2/1, Hollywood can be backed to be a home hero on Tyneside.
Bet 3 - Nathan Aspinall to beat Michael van Gerwen @ 6/4
It’s clear that Nathan Aspinall has issues with his throw, but he is an incredibly spirited performer and no arrowsmith could stop the Asp on his way to lifting the European Darts Trophy last weekend.
Aspinall averaged 100.63, 106.72, 98.66 and 98.19 in victories over Jermaine Wattimena, Luke Humphries, Gary Anderson and Ryan Joyce in Germany and those performances suggest that he can beat Michael van Gerwen.
MVG played pretty well in last week’s Premier League action before then performing with credit on the European Tour.
However, the Dutchman is no certainty to back up those efforts and offers of 1/2 about a Newcastle victory over Aspinall look a little too short.
